Costa Rica, is often misspelled as Costa Rico, Costo Rica and even Costo Rico. It is also often confused with Puerto Rico (often called Puerto Rica or Puerta Rica) which is actually an island in the Caribbean. It doesn’t help when the two capital cities sound similar: San Jose ( Costa Rica) and San Juan ( Puerto Rico).
